Portland Building worked through this complete exterior and interior renovation on Platte Lake was designed to create a connection between the indoors and out, while making the most of the panoramic Platte Lake views and lush landscape that surround were two key goals of this home’s design.  The layout of this home was designed closely with the home owner to keep the most frequently used rooms of the home adjacent to the lake. High vaulted ceilings and subdued color palettes give the living room and adjacent kitchen an airy and expansive feeling, while the large, sliding glass doors and picture windows bring the warmth of the outdoors in. If the warmth of the outdoors is not enough, the stone wrapped wood burning fireplace will assist. The covered porch creates the perfect entertaining area for any weather. The 12x12 cedar post and beam construction offers a sturdy yet functional lake front.
